The main floor is accessed by a stone stairway from the street or from the private courtyard. This floor contains all the rooms.

The living/dining room has a wood beamed ceiling, tile floors and large operable windows. It has a fireplace for chilly nights, equipped with a glass door for safety. It is furnished comfortably with fold-out sofa, bright cushions and leather armchairs, wood dining table and dining chairs and decorated with the owner’s artwork. It is a great area for gathering, relaxing and enjoying a meal. It also includes a TV, DVD and CD player and speakers for hookup to your MP3 or iPod. Satellite TV is provided, with access to a variety of English language stations including CNN and BBC. Local French stations can also be accessed.

The kitchen is equipped with all appliances including a fridge, dishwasher, gas cooktop and electric oven. It also has a microwave oven, double sink and all small appliances.

The tile-floored loggia is surrounded by operable windows and is a great place for enjoying a glass of wine or viewing the sunsets. It also includes a futon, for sitting or for an extra bed. The loggia provides access to the courtyard and the bedrooms.

The courtyard is shaded in the summer and has a sink, gas cooktop and bbq. A dining table and chairs as well as chaises are provided. The pool (3m x 5m) is 1.5m deep and completely private and secured from small children by latching gate.

Bedroom 1, accessed by French doors from the loggia, is furnished with double (queen) bed. A tile floor, large armoire, original artwork, ceiling fan and wool rug complete the decor.

Bedroom 2, also accessed by French doors, has two single beds and a large closet.

The bath and WC are separate; the bath has a tub with shower, and a washing machine.

The entire house is centrally heated for wintertime stays. We welcome children of all ages, but caution parents to be mindful of them around the stone stairs and open windows. There is ample parking in front of the house, and a covered, lockable garage space if needed. Three bicycles are provided for exploring the village and surrounding countryside.

We really enjoyed ourselves in Sanilhac -you have a really lovely house there. We've stayed at a number of gites in France - and found them all to be excellent - but your place was the best so far. - JA

You have a wonderful house, it was absalutely fantastic and the best (by far) of the 4 houses we rented in France this year.  We were having a drink a couple of nights ago and we both agreed it was also the best we had ever rented and we have rented loads over the years.  Having internet access was fantastic, we could get updates on the cricket at home, and touch base with family and friends. M. was fantastic, very helpful and a really lovely person. It was really reassuring to know she was just a phone call away if we had a problem. - EP

Amongst other things we canoed down the Gard, played golf at Uzes and Nimes Campagne (an excellent course with a replica of the White House (in DC) as a club house!!), visited Uzes (thoroughly recommend a small tea shop unfortunately named ‘curiosy-the’), did the Pont-du-Gard museum, visited the Med at Grau-du-Roi, visited the Haribo museum in Uzes, all really enjoyable.

My daughter and her boyfriend came to stay a couple of nights and were very comfortable on the sleeper sofa in the living room. We barbecued, ate cake and drank champagne under your mulberry tree to celebrate her birthday! -  highlight of the holiday.

In fact the sanctuary of that cool courtyard under the vines and mulberry tree were the real star attraction, we needed to relax and we certainly did. We watched a fantastic display of shooting stars from there two nights running. The pool, too, was in constant use, and the barbecue every day. - PM
